Fuerteventura – Destination Overview

Fuerteventura is an ideal destination for holidaying in the Canary Islands especially due to year round sunshine and wonderfull sandy beaches. You will quite calmer resorts here compare to the other larger islands. If you are visiting with your family , you will love the Caleta de Fuste resorts due to it’s quiet nature. Playa Barca and Playa Jandia are also popular resorts on the island.

You will find some of the liveliest beaches in Corralejo , and if you walk down further you will locate stretches’ of unspoiled beaches quite similar to those in Caribbean. At Corralejo you can enjoy a number of water sports including windsurfing and kite boarding.

To the south of Corralejo, you will find a national park of protected sand dunes known as El Jable. This protected area of sand dunes is particularly popular with naturists looking for a sheltered area to relax in!

You will find the most attractive beaches on the Southern Jandia peninsula. If you are looking for a romantic ‘get away’ then the beaches of Jandia and Costa Calma are an ideal choice with many quite coves

It is mainly the weather that makes Fuerteventura an all year destination due to its mild winters and hot summers. You will find the weather almost identical all year around with June to September the hotest month where is the temperatures are around 29C and the humidity level is low. Spring is also an idea time to visit the Island as the temperature hits the mid 20,s with an average of 7 hours sunshine a day and the beaches are less crowded compare to summer.
